This past week was the letter C.
C is for Cat
I really loved this one. We have 3 cats at home, so it was really easy to find things to do! We counted the kitties and i had him tell me what color each of them were. We talked about how there are different types of cats. Some people have as pets, and others that live in the wild. He was surprised to learn that lions and tigers were cats too!
For our art project, i took a paper plate and cut it in half. I then cut out the eye holes and we decorated them to look like cats!
We had so much fun! We then went to the living room and acted like cats! I suddenly remembered I had picked up a lion costume last year at the thrift store.
C is for Cow
What can I say. The kid loves cows! Therefore, we had ALOT of cow/farm activities on hand.

J loves puzzles. I already had a farm puzzle on hand, and even though he’s put this together a million times, he still enjoyed doing it again
This of course is a Melissa and Doug Puzzle! I love all of Melissa and Doug products!
C is for Caterpillar
Today, my printer decided to screw up, so all i had planned went down the drain. This is why letting your “lessons” be flexible is important!
I asked him if he knew that Caterpillar turn into butterflies. He always says yes to most questions (HA!) so I explained to him the life cycle of a butterfly. I wish I would have had a visual, I guess in hindsight I could have showed him some images online. The only problem is, is that if let him go by the computer, he thinks he gets to watch Paw Patrol!
I saw this cute idea on Pinterest. I try to include some sort of counting or number activity every day!

My husbands activity was supposed to be Cars but he ran into some difficulties. When he was trying to get J to get going he told him ” NO, NO SCHOOL. ITS TOO MUCH DADDY. TOO MUCH!”
I found this to be hilarious at first, but then i was concerned. Was i pushing him too hard? Are the activities I’m choosing not fun?
Well, it turns out that he was just mimicking something he heard me or someone on tv say. Now everything is too much!
