E is for Elephant
I found a great set of printables from 3dinosaurs. I only used page 4, because the other ones are a little over J’s grasp right now. Im going to keep the rest of this around because it is a great resource for the future!

J loves the dot-a-dot activities. I’m sure i mentioned i got the marker (which is just a bingo marker) at Dollar Tree, but in case you don’t have one near you, you can pick one (or a few) on Amazon!
I also tried to get him to trace shapes. He would only do it with my help. He kept saying ” i cant do it, it’s too hard” It looks like this is something ill keep working with him on.
Catering to his love of stickers, i also had him make a jungle scene. He named off all of the animals as he stuck them on the paper, and even made the animals specific noises.

Next, i found a cute short video on YouTube about elephants. It was informative, and to the point. Less than two minutes long. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CP5uJVpHrVw . As a treat, i also happened to find an episode of Bubble Guppies that was elephant based and you can imagine how much he enjoyed that! 🙂
After the videos, we did another art project. I cut out some elephant head shapes and then i had him put it together.

Last but not least, i couldn’t resist making this adorable project together! Isn’t it just the cutest thing you’ve ever seen?

I then took an old wooden frame from my mother in law

and then i picked out a nice cheery yellow

I didn’t like how bright it was so i decided to add some lighter yellow and cream. I was going for a distressed look.

I think it turned out pretty good!
E is for Eggs
Wouldn’t you know it, WE’RE SICK AGAIN! Or its the same cold that we had from before. I’m not sure, but whatever it is, it needs to stop!
I decided to just keep it simple. J is really showing in interest in helping with anything he can, so today i had him help make his breakfast!

He absolutely loved doing this! I’m going to have to remember that he’s growing up and i should let him help a lot more!
Thats all we did for this week. Now that we’ve gotten back into the swing of things, we can go full force with the letter F! See you then!
